Hey Reader, Last week, the AI world was freaking out. OpenAI bought Windsurf, cue the chaos. "OpenAI will kill off every other model!" But here's what no oneās telling you. Itās all noise. What Really HappenedYes, OpenAI did buy Windsurf (for $3B, btw). And yeah, Geminiās been extremely slow on it. But thatās actually on Google, not Windsurf. Gemini 2.5 Proās been unstable everywhere. Especially since the update to it a week ago. Sometimes it even... disappears. š¶āš«ļø Not even the best AI editors can fix that. So What Now?For now, Iām back on using Claude 3.7 Sonnet. Because for me, reliability is more important than raw power. Gemini was my go-to for coding, but itās useless if it doesnāt load. Don't believe the drama. Windsurf (and Cursor) are both fine.
