Hey Reader October's almost done. And my AI coding setup is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than it was 30 days ago. Here's what changed (and what you should steal). #1 - I Broke Up With GPT-5 CodexLook, GPT-5 is brilliant. Codex too. But they're SO SLOW that it kills the vibes. I still use them every day, but not for coding anymore. Just for planning. Think of it like having a wise old architect who takes forever to draw blueprints. Great for strategy, terrible when you need to build fast. So I canceled my ChatGPT subscription entirely. The only reason I had it was for Codex. But I still use GPT-5 every day, because... #2 - Cursor's Plan Mode Is AwesomeCursor dropped this feature called "plan mode" and I genuinely don't know how I lived without it. I use it 10-20 times a day. No exaggeration. Here's how it works: I let GPT-5 (High) create the master plan (it takes its sweet time, asks clarifying questions, thinks things through). Then I hand that plan to Claude Sonnet 4.5 (non-thinking) to execute. It's like having a slow genius map out the strategy, then a fast worker bee get it done. I reopened my AI Builder's Blueprint this week. Over 20 new people joined in just 72 hours, wild! Non-technical founders building real apps. No fluff. No theory. Just the same process I'm using every day. If you're tired of having ideas stuck in your head while developers charge you thousands...

#3 - New Trend: Model OrchestrationThis is the big shift nobody's talking about. You can't use just one AI model anymore and expect the best results. Now you need a thinking model (= GPT-5) and an execution model (= Sonnet 4.5). That's why standalone tools like Codex or Claude Code don't work anymore. Some people use Claude Code AND Codex together, which is totally feasible if that's your vibe. But I prefer to have one single tool, which for me is Cursor. What has changed for you this month? Talk next week, |
Coder of 20+ years teaching non-technical people how to build their own software business in 30 days with AI. No devs or code required.
Reader, Got a bunch of replies from yesterday's email! A few of you already bought, and I just sent them an email explaining what they're actually getting. Let's just say... it's more than a workshop. I recorded a quick 2-minute video explaining why this first group is different. There's only 5 spots left Grab one of the last seats Once they're gone, I'm closing this and building the app. If you receive a refund, I'm sorry in advance - the limited spots are real! See you there!Rob
Hey Reader, Everyone wants to build a mobile app, but nobody shows you how. On Dec 10th, I'm building an AI-powered camera app for iPhone from scratch - and I'm recording the whole thing. What You Get Full "build with me" recording (watch at your own pace) Live Q&A session where I answer your questions and troubleshoot Step-by-step checklist to get it live in Apple AppStore Lifetime access to the AI Builder's Circle community But here's the thing... This is NOT for complete beginners. You...
Hey Reader, Google dropped Gemini 3 Pro this week. Everyone lost their minds. Then 24 hours later, OpenAI was like: "F*ck you Google! Here's our new model and it's even better!" So here's what happened in these 24 hours of model insanity. And more importantly: If you should even care. What's Really Going On I've watched this play out for a year now. Every single time a new SOTA (state of the art) model drops, the same thing happens: Before release: "This is going to change EVERYTHING!" After...
