Feeling Stuck? Here’s How to Push Through

Hey Reader,

You can listen to this email here (like a mini podcast).

Have you ever stood in the grocery checkout line, frustrated at how slow it's moving?

Maybe you even switched lines, thinking the next one might be faster?

Yeah, me too. And for a long time, I thought success worked the same way.

But... I was wrong.

The Success Shortcut

I read Seth Godin's The Dip this week, and it hit me.

In the book, he talks about something we all know too well.

Imagine this: You start something new and are excited and motivated. 🙌

Then, you suddenly get to a point where you feel like nothing is working.

That’s The Dip: the messy, confusing stage where everything feels harder than it should be.

This is where you start looking for shortcuts.

Maybe this tool will save me time, and I should post on platform X, or buy course Y from guru Z.

But here's the truth: switching strategies and chasing trends is a waste of time.

Most people quit here, but you’re not most people.

The Dip is what makes everything worth it.

If it isn’t hard, everyone would do it. And if everyone would do it, it wouldn’t be special.

So, if we can't avoid The Dip, what can we do?

How to Make The Dip Easier

Here is something I wish I'd learned sooner.

Just be yourself.

Hear me out... 👂

Authenticity can actually make this stage easier.

My friend Tamara put it perfectly:

The more I embrace the fact that it's so much easier to create a video where you document something you're doing, rather than trying to come up with video ideas, the more I feel inspired to make videos.

Instead of trying to be the expert, I started documenting my process.

Because you don't need all the answers.

You need to show up consistently and share what you're learning.

For example, share how you balance your 9to5 with your own business, or how you stay productive.

What's the Real Shortcut?

Instead of pretending to be the expert (and feeling like an Imposter in the process), document your progress.

Show up consistently and share what you learn.

As humans, we connect with others through stories.

And sharing your own personal experience is the most authentic, relatable way to tell them.

That's how you build trust and start your business today, without having all the knowledge yet.

You've got this! 💪

Talk next week,

Rob

Hey Reader, 24 hours can change everything. Yesterday, I dropped a video saying Gemini 2.5 Pro isn't that great. Today... I'm eating my words. Because the truth is, it's really good. But there's a catch: You need to know exactly what to use it for. And it still has some serious issues. Here's what I discovered after publishing my video: If you're designing websites or interfaces, Claude 3.7 Sonnet is still king. No contest. But once you have that design... Gemini 2.5 Pro becomes a coding...

Hey Reader, Thank you for exploding my YouTube channel this week. But here's what I noticed from your comments: You find Cursor frustrating compared to tools like Lovable, Replit, or Bolt. I get it. Those tools are designed to be no-code friendly. They hold your hand through the entire process. Cursor doesn't. There's a learning curve that most people will quit on too early. But the founders who push through that initial frustration, they turn into heroes. They build things the "no-code...
