Why Successful People Fall Behind

Hey Reader,

Most people think falling behind is the beginning of the end.

But successful people know that it's just a test.

Here's why ⬇️

In early February, a big part of my family came to town.

I budgeted time, scheduled videos, and made space to be present.

Everything was under control, or so I thought.

The week itself was a 10/10, everyone had a blast.

Then, the day they left, I got sick.

And I had no idea how bad it would get.

Full shutdown mode.

Within days, I was flat in bed.

My voice is gone. I'm coughing my lungs out and am barely sleeping.

Now, 10 days later, I'm still recovering, but I realize the illness itself wasn't the worst part.

It was the guilt of feeling like I needed to get work done.

Like I was letting my dream (and all of you), down.

We all know this conflict.

You're dialed in and making progress.

Gym, money, relationships, business.

Then boom, something happens.

And suddenly, all that momentum you worked so hard on feels like it's slipping away.

For the last two weeks, I was stuck in that battle.

And then it hit me.

It's not about the pauses.

Success isn't about falling behind. It's about restarting where you left off.

Here's the thing.

You only need about 18 minutes a day (or roughly 100 hours per year) to get better than 95% of people at almost anything.

This is an oversimplification, of course.

But it proves a point:

➡️ Falling behind doesn't matter. Staying behind does.

So, if life throws you a curveball, whether it's an illness, family obligations, or just burnout, do not panic.

Take the break.

Then, when you're ready, step back in.

For me, that starts now.

Time to get back to the grind, from Bali and Singapore this week.

Talk soon,

Rob

Hey Reader, 24 hours can change everything. Yesterday, I dropped a video saying Gemini 2.5 Pro isn't that great. Today... I'm eating my words. Because the truth is, it's really good. But there's a catch: You need to know exactly what to use it for. And it still has some serious issues. Here's what I discovered after publishing my video: If you're designing websites or interfaces, Claude 3.7 Sonnet is still king. No contest. But once you have that design... Gemini 2.5 Pro becomes a coding...

Hey Reader, Thank you for exploding my YouTube channel this week. But here's what I noticed from your comments: You find Cursor frustrating compared to tools like Lovable, Replit, or Bolt. I get it. Those tools are designed to be no-code friendly. They hold your hand through the entire process. Cursor doesn't. There's a learning curve that most people will quit on too early. But the founders who push through that initial frustration, they turn into heroes. They build things the "no-code...
